Saugatuck works closely with each management team in structuring a transaction that makes sense for both sides. An important component of each investment is to provide appropriate opportunities for a management team to share in the success of each investment, typically through a significant equity participation program. We then continue to work closely with each management team by bringing our full resources to bear for strategic and financial planning and implementation.

With over 50 years of private equity experience and 32 years of operating experience, Saugatuck's principals have developed a robust network of deal sources. We evaluate over 1,000 potential transactions per year generated from our network that includes unsolicited deals through Saugatuck "brand name" recognition, proprietary personal contacts, other private equity institutions, pro-active selection of attractive industry segments, and regional investment banks and deal brokers.
